As a young kid, I was fascinated by series and movies like Star Wars, Star Trek, Stargate. I wanted to be a science officer on the Enterprise, and “boldly go where no man has gone before.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Today, I have the opportunity to at least partially fulfill my dreams. All thanks to the project “Revolutionizing Space Lubrication: Elevating Tribological Excellence with Flake Graphene Innovations” written by Ma\u0142gorzata Djas (\u0141ukasiewicz – Institute of Microelectronics and Photonics, Flake Graphene Research Group) and Marcelina Stasik from Astronika sp. z o.o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This project may in the future allow for the use of G-Flake\u00ae materials in lubricants for special purposes. In the vacuum of space, where conventional lubricants like oil or grease would evaporate or degrade quickly, specialized lubricants are essential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
