In the Flake Graphene Research Group, we conduct research on the preparation of thin layers of G-Flake\u00ae materials using various coating techniques. Today, we will tell you a little bit more about one of these techniques, namely spray coating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The technique involves applying a layer from a liquid suspension of graphene oxide (GO) or reduced graphene oxide (RGO) using a stream of compressed air. It allows for the control of the thickness of the obtained layers and the coating of substrates with complex architectures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We are conducting work in this direction, among others, in collaboration with the Materials for Energy Sector Research Group from \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 Institute of Microelectronics and Photonics led by Rafa\u0142 Zyba\u0142a, dr in\u017c. By utilizing the advantages of the Selective Laser Melting (SLM) technique, a 3D scaffold for bone tissue regeneration was printed (by Krystian Kowiorski), which was subsequently coated with G-Flake\u00ae reduced graphene oxide using aforementioned approach. It is worth emphasizing that RGO exhibits osteogenic properties, promoting the integration of the implant with bone tissue, and is also biocompatible.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
